Lectors are licensed by the parish. They proclaim the lessons and lead the Prayers of the People during services of Holy Eucharist. These persons are volunteers from the congregation who have received practical training in reading the Scriptures at the Holy Eucharist and in the “Divine Offices” (Morning Prayer, etc).
